Max Bennett and Philip Thompson opened Artizan Bartlett Street in 1986. Since then Artizan has a reputation as one of the finest hair salons built outside of London.

 

In 1995, together with Matt Carr and Rob Cartwright, Artizan expanded and we opened our 2nd salon in nearby George Street, central Bath.George Street.

The future is bright for Artizan with loyal staff and clientele. In the past few years Artizan has reached the finals of the L’Oreal Colour Trophy, been short-listed for Hairdresser of the Year for the Southwest and also featured in National newspapers and magazines such as Vogue, Glamour and Harpers & Queen. 

Both salons are approached regularly to contribute time and advice to a variety of fashion shows, social events and charity fund-raisers. We have even been asked to help with the styling of wigs for productions at our local Theatre Royal in Bath..
